DMCA and takedowns

Last updated September 24, 2026

If a site hosted on BrightDoor uses your photo, logo, or writing without permission, tell us. A person at BrightDoor reads every notice.

Where to send a notice

Email dmca@brightdoor.ai with the subject line "DMCA notice".

What to include

  • The address of the page on the BrightDoor site, and what on it you believe infringes.
  • The original work, or a link to it.
  • Your name, mailing address, phone, and email.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by you, your agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the right or are authorized to act for the owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

  • We confirm we received your notice.
  • If the notice is complete, we take the site down. The whole site is unpublished and shows a holding page while we review. The site owner is told why.
  • The owner can remove the material and publish again, or send a counter-notice.
  • We record each takedown in our audit log.

Counter-notices

If your site was taken down and you believe that was a mistake, reply to the takedown email or write to dmca@brightdoor.ai with the page address, a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake, your contact details, and consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court.
